But the lack of knowledge about these key technologies keep people away from deploying them in their own infrastructure. A local user group in a region aims to introduce Ceph technologies to the community with the help of local events. Like in any other country all over the world, the local and official Ceph community in Turkey (Ceph Turkey) is founded in 2017 to bring together Ceph users to share their knowledge, experience, and use cases. Ceph Turkey’s motivation is to extend the usage of Ceph across the country with the help of local meetup events. Ceph Turkey also encourages the local community to perform the transition to new generation storage technologies. Ceph Turkey has organized 11 meetups in Istanbul and Ankara so far.
Finally, the demand from the government and the private sector shows that it is time to organize a Ceph Day event in Turkey like in any other countries in the world. Ceph Turkey will keep supporting the Turkish Ceph community with organizing events. Stay tuned!
